"that's life," that's what all the people say

   Working full-time
   School full-time
   Weekly church events
+ All my normal activities

   Worn out Brandi

Rocking screaming babies to bed, changing dirty diapers, and watching the same Disney movie over and over and over... that's only a few of my job requirements. ;)

13 credit hours... Sounds like nothing compared to what I took at Cedarville (19ish), but when it's mostly night classes, whew! 3-4 hours/night... tough stuff! All I have to say is "props!" to those who work full time and go to school for multiple years.

And though some days I feel like describing it as just that ^ (in a negative way)... it's not at all!

God has given me the best job for this stage in my life. I couldn't have asked or recommended anything better. I love (almost) every bit of it ;) And even when I do have a bad day with the kids, I know deep down that no matter what it's honestly making me a better person and someday, a better mom. Maybe by the end I'll even master patience! haha (sike!)

School has been such a blessing. Yeah I'm not fond of the drive, but I've learned to find ways to make it better. Francis Chan (amazing preacher) and I have become best buds ;) I listen to his sermons and they're so great!!! A couple times I've had to wipe my tears before I head into school... he's THAT good! But anyways, I've met some people that I love to pray for and my classes have been challenging me in new ways.

So by reading that little equation/rant up at the top, some of you were probably thinking, "that's life... suck it up Brandi!" haha (Believe me, sometimes I have to tell myself to suck it up too!) But that isn't life. I mean it is, but it isn't. Life is so much more than school, work, church events, etc. It's learning to love Him and love others. The essence of true humility. These things that "bog us down" in life are really things that God has put in our lives to lift Him up! Learn to find pleasure and contentment in your daily activities. Learn to lift Him up in EVERY situation.

  1. The thing that has come to mind as you've told me about your new experiences and stuff is that you can impact so many people at your new college. I'm sure wayyyy more than at Cedarville... which is great. I know how it can be so tiring to keep loving others sometime, but I think our friendship kind of spells it out: you may get tired, but it'll always be worth it. :) I love you Brandi-- I'm so grateful for you! <3 Joy
